Solar power has made a comeback in China, with the country now supplying nearly half of all its electricity.
Solar power accounted for almost 50% of all power generation in 2017, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
That’s up from less than 25% in 2016, but it’s still less than half of the total.
The data also showed that China had a very low per capita solar energy usage rate, averaging just 2.9 kWh/kWh for a population of 5.3 billion people.
That still puts it far below the global average of nearly 3.3 kWh/day.
But in a country that has been working to improve its energy mix over the last few years, solar power is still relatively cheap.
The country’s biggest companies, such as China National Offshore Oil Corporation and China National Petroleum Corporation, have made solar energy a key part of their business strategy.
So the company, one of the world’s largest energy producers, is also investing heavily in the technology.
This year, China National Oil Co said it would invest around US$300 billion in solar power projects and other renewable energy sources by 2020.
It has also invested more than US$2.7 billion in wind power in the country.
The company, which is owned by state-owned China National Assets Group (CNAG), also announced plans to double the amount of solar power installed across the country by 2021, with more than 6 gigawatts of capacity.
And it’s investing US$600 million in new solar thermal power plants.
With a massive solar energy boom in the past decade, the US has also seen its share of solar energy grow in recent years.
According to a report by the US Department of Energy, the country’s share of all solar power generation fell from 11% in 2008 to 7.3% in 2017.
But this trend is expected to continue as the technology improves and more companies invest in it.
In addition to the United States, solar has also been a huge draw for other countries around the world.
In 2019, China’s solar power capacity surpassed the US’ solar power by about 10%.
And in the first half of 2018, solar capacity grew in India, Australia, South Africa, and other countries.
China is also the biggest user of solar PV panels, but that doesn’t mean that China has the best solar energy system.
The world’s top 10 largest solar power producers are: China National Corporation of Wind Power, CNAG, Xinjiang Wind Energy, Xinbei Solar Energy, SunEdison, JinkoSolar, and Xinjia Solar Energy.
