Solar energy recruitment company Zest Solar has created a new video that outlines the ins and outs of becoming a solar energy worker in the United Kingdom.
The video is called “Solar Job Hunting in the U.K.”
Zest, which specializes in hiring and training solar energy professionals, recently hired about 150 solar energy workers from across the country.
The solar industry has seen an explosion of interest from prospective workers.
According to Zest CEO Ben Dolan, the solar industry is one of the fastest growing in the world and has grown by about 400 percent since the recession began.
He says the solar energy industry is now growing so fast that it’s becoming difficult for the traditional energy industry to keep up.
The new video, which was created by Zest founder Ben Dolans team of 15 developers and producers, lays out how to start your career as a solar worker.
Zest says it’s the most important thing they’ve done for solar workers.
“Solar workers are our future, and they’re our future because we are investing in them, not just as consumers, but as creators,” Dolan said in a press release.
“We believe that a solar workforce has the potential to reshape our economy in a positive way.
It is our responsibility to ensure this shift takes place, and that this future is a bright one for all.”
To be considered for solar job hunting, candidates must be at least 16 years old and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be enrolled in a degree-granting school.
Zests employees will be in touch with potential solar workers via email, phone or Skype.
The video explains how to apply to Zests.
Solar workers must also meet certain criteria, such as having a minimum of one full-time job, three jobs and no more than $150,000 in annual income.
Zest also said it’s a good idea to have a high GPA, and a bachelor’s degree or higher, to ensure you’ll be able to get the most out of the solar job hunt.
